Hyderabad: The Supreme Court has given Telangana Speaker Gaddam Prasad one last opportunity regarding the disqualification petition against the defector MLAs. The Supreme Court instructed the Speaker to take a decision on the disqualification of the MLAs within a stipulated time and granted a three-week deadline. The hearing was then adjourned.

The Supreme Court heard the petitions filed by the BRS party on Friday, seeking the disqualification of MLAs who had defected from the party. The hearing was conducted by a bench of Supreme Court judges, Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Augustine George.
